Nemi is a small village in the province of Rome, about 30 kilometers outside of the city in the "Alban Hills" (where the papal summer residence Castelgandolfo is situated too).
How to reach to Nemi by public transportFrom Rome:
Take Metro, Line 'A' to Anagnina, the end of the line. Change there to the bus going to Genzano or
Velletri. Get off the bus at Genzano and call to be picked up for a reduced price.
From Termini by train: Take the train to Velletri and get off at Lanuvio. Call to be picked up for a reduced price.
From Fiumicino Airport:
Take the shuttle train from the airport to Stazione Termini (Rome's main train station). From the
station, take Metro, Line 'A' to Anagnina (the rest as above).
From Rome:
Take the Via Appia Nuova (South) out of Rome. At the exit marked "Via del Laghi - Marino"
follow the direction to Velletri. Keep following the Via dei Laghi (past Marino) until reaching the
outskirts of Nemi. At the second turnoff for Nemi, Km 15 (restaurant Baffone on the corner), turn
right.
The entrance to our house is the first driveway on the left.
From the 'Autostrada del Sole':
Bypass Rome taking autostrada 'A1' in the direction of Napoli (Naples); exit at Valmontone, in the
direction of Lariano, Velletri; from Velletri take the road to Nemi; approaching Nemi turn left
(immediately before the Ristorante Baffone, the rest as above).
